Sporting Lisbon are seeking talks with Tottenham over two of their senior players.
Sporting are launching a spending spree for the January market and have already splashed out over £5 million to land former Liverpool striker Florent Sinama-Pongolle from Atletico Madrid.
Correio da Manha says Sporting are now turning to Spurs, where they hope to open talks over loan deals for striker Roman Pavlyuchenko and fullback Gareth Bale.
The Portuguese club are said to be leaning on super agent Pini Zahavi to represent them in the Spurs negotiations.
